New Site – who am I?
Things may be in a state of flux here with the layout of the new site, but I think this will be the format I’m going to take for it. First I should tell a bit about myself. My name is Avery J. Parker and I do quite a few things…. www.averyjparker.com has been my primary website for some time, mainly as a site for information on my computer consulting services in the Asheville, NC area. That includes a certain amount of webhosting as well and as my interests in the area of computers has grown, so has the need for a standalone site devoted to my computer repair and consulting services… www.computerrepairasheville.com. But that is not all I do…. For about 15-20 years now I’ve had a hobby of genealogy (family history research) which has developed into a couple of websites…. www.northcarolinagenealogy.net, and www.southcarolinagenealogy.org. AND…. that of course is not all… In school I spent the majority of my time in the music department. My major was a dual major with Business Management and Music with Recording Arts. However, I completed all the requirements for the Music (BA) degree by following through with piano lessons and the other course requirements. Shortly after graduating, I started teaching piano at the Asheville Music School (1998).
It seems as though with my online “ventures” I’ve pretty much got a site for most of my hobbies/work areas, but music was lagging (www.onlineradiotv.com is only somewhat related to my audio background….) In other words, this is a site I’ve meant to do for sometime to have a place to keep all my blank sheet music, note naming drills, any arrangements of pieces as well as to maybe share information about music lessons in Asheville, point out resources that you might not be aware of…. I have a tendency to use my computer sites as a reference for myself as well as a reference for others. I hope this will be of use to you.
Ultimately, I do not know exactly where this site will lead. I have ideas, of course, of what I would like to put here, but as with my other sites I suspect there may be a few surprises.
