I just wanted to take a moment to plug a website I’ve been working on. William Withers and Anne Coombs have been putting a lot of time into developing guitar loops for practice at guitarloopslive.com. What’s a guitar loop? Well you’ve pretty much just got a progression of chords, the audio file is designed so it can be played over and over taking you through the same chord progression. This makes it great for practicing soloing over changes (and in fact is how William has been practicing - he’s a student of Anne’s.) Even though it’s geared for guitar players, there’s no reason ANY instrumentalist can’t make use of them to practice solo work. I’m adding it to the links.
