Note Naming Training Software | NoteCard
Recently I ran across a neat little freeware program called Notecard. It’s a good little notereading trainer for Windows (also runs via wine on linux and possibly mac). Basically you are presented with a staff (you can choose treble or bass clef or both.) You can be quizzed on notes and answer by clicking on note names, a guitar fret or a keyboard (one octave compressed or full keyboard with middle c highlighted.)
It’s a neat little program that may help you improve your note recognition skills just a bit. Find it on This page at familygames.com Scroll to the bottom of the page and you should see it listed under “Other freeware”.
