Music in Asheville

The music scene in Asheville, NC is quite varied and vibrant. Between the Music Schools, Music festivals, Music Venues of Asheville there is quite a variety in styles and tastes. The Orange Peel and The Grey Eagle are some of the better known Asheville music venues. There are also a number of Asheville Music stores of note. The live music available in Asheville covers so many styles; operatic, classical symphonic, folk, bluegrass, country, rock and many countless variations of those styles.

It’s really a music scene that can be a challenge to keep up with. I don’t intend to provide full coverage of ALL that’s going on musically in Asheville. But, I do intend to try to hit some of the highlights.

For more in depth coverage of local groups and what’s going on, you might want to visit the Asheville Music Scene website.
