Asheville Music Education
There are many venues for starting your music instruction or perfecting or improving your musicianship in the Asheville area. We’re lucky to have such a wide variety of talented musicians that can either get you started out on an instrument or take your playing to the next level.
What’s really great is that it’s NEVER too late to start studying music. Yes, kids probably pick up things quicker, but realistically it’s NEVER TOO LATE!
The Asheville Music School is probably THE best single place for beginners and continuing students of any age. Of course, I’m a bit biased, I teach there. But I know that among our 26 or so instructors you’ll find so many experience levels and styles it will surprise you. So, that is my number one suggestion for those of you looking for Asheville music lessons. Here are the instruments that are taught at the Asheville Music School: Voice, Piano, Guitar, Bass, Percussion (Drums, Vibraphone, Marimba/etc.), Alto Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Banjo, Mandolin, Cello, Violin, (Fiddle), Viola, Trumpet, French Horn, etc. I think depending on the level the Asheville Music School could also arrange Harmonica and Accordion lessons.
I’m not going to let that bias limit me to just mentioning the Asheville Music School here though, there are many great teachers in the Asheville area in general. Some of these are also music stores that provide lessons in house.
