There are a number of great music stores in the Asheville, NC area and I will do my best to collect a good list of them here. As possible I’ll add more details including links to their respective web sites.
The Music Center – (River Ridge) Music Instrument Sales and rental as well as sheet music sales.
Asheville Music & Art – (Haywood Rd.) Music Instrument Sales and rentals, sheet music sales, lessons.
Soli Classica – (Hendersonville Rd.) Wide Sheet Music selection, CDs and other music supplies also
Music City – (Patton Ave.) Instrument sales and some sheet music
Piano Distributors – (Brevard Rd.) Primarily Piano (acoustic and digital) sales
The Piano Emporium – Main St. (Weaverville) – Used and rebuilt pianos (many are true antique works of art!)
Musicians Workshop – Merrimon Ave. – Guitar/Bass/Drum/Keyboard instrument sales – sheet music
Blue Ridge Music Store – Black Mountain
Technically they’re not a Music Store, but Dream Guitars is located in the Weaverville area. They sell very fine, high end instruments and showings are by appointment only. They also offer repair services.
DixieLand Music Company – Woodfin – opened October 17th in Town and Country Shopping Center – new, used and consignment instruments (drums, guitars, mandolins, ukuleles and banjos). Also amplifiers and Microphones will be sold as well as guitar repairs, beginner guitar, bass and drum lessons. Their hours are slated to be 10am-6pm Monday through Friday, 10-3 Saturday.
